There should have been elevators built within Temasek Hall; it could have brought us so much conveniences, and lesser embarrassing moments. Imagine the number of trips you have to make because your room sits on the third level at a secluded corner, which requires you to walk at least five minutes lugging that box of books. Or worse still, because of the lack of these vertically moving transporters, you trip while making a dash up the steps, missing one.
But blame it on the pair of slippers I say, for neither does it match the clothes you wear to the lectures, nor provide you extra comfort as you tread along the walkways to Sheares Hall for a late night supper. The thing is, my pair of slippers suck.
Once, on my virgin attempt at hockey with the girls at the court, I stumbled and hit my right incisor while giving a shot for the goal post. The second slip happened just last night. I was en route to Cherlyn’s room to keep a cup of bubble tea chilled in her fridge when I missed a step. There was a rescue attempt at the bubble tea, but I finally called it off when the drink was beyond human consumption.
I need a pair of slippers, or the hall can install elevators for the betterment of its facilities.

Chilling bubble tea in a GIRL’S fridge? Do I sense something else going on? Tsk tsk…

Nope. We don’t have our own fridge in our own rooms, only those who are more affluent can handle the extra $60. I’m just one of the more environmental conscious few. So do fridge-pool if you can, in a bid to save Mother Earth.
Local halls are less vibrant compared to overseas dormitories, we don’t have a condom dispenser readily available.

See, Shaun gets my drift.
Uh…there are no condom dispensers in the dorms here, but I heard people can go to McKinley (the campus clinic) to get free condoms. They were giving out free condoms on Quad Day (a day where all student organizations set up booths on the Quad) too.
