I have been feeling a tad under the weather for these few weeks. Partly because of the constant phone calls to JMPD pertaining to our allowances which yield no results. To add on to the truckload of burden, the iPhone purchase went jerky, contrary to what I believed. Finishing the list of discomforts were the work that’s been streaming in as if they were gifts you received on your 21st birthday; the only difference —they don’t seem enjoyable.

Alec did a fantastic job by liaising with higher brass within the inapt manpower department. At least they submitted the forms, so all we need to pray was for the banks to get them processed. I was definitely on the verge of painting the entire town red; I think I am desperate — logging in to DBS iBanking has never been part of the background processes. Still, bottom line is, I’m broke and money’s not in.

I couldn’t resist the want need to spend more than 400 bucks on the sleek iPhone, can I? Besides, I’ve placed my reservation right after Singtel clinched the exclusive reseller deals with Apple. So, it was definitely an event to look forward to when it was announced to launch in August, a month earlier than promised.

And all the bad stuff has to befall on me. The queue at the Hello Store was horrendous. Together with Perry, four hours we waited. Waited to get a queue number. Waited to get entertained. Waited to offer cold hard cash to the cashier. Singaporeans were not there to get their iPhones, they simply enjoyed the queuing process.

I got home late, sync it with iTunes and got the applications that were already waiting eagerly on iTunes’ applications tab. So, the second wave of shock arrived the very next day when the iPhone turned mute. It refused to speak up, not even on speakers. It preferred, however, to whisper secretly to you via the earphones it came with. No luck with a soft/hard reset or restore.

Two more hours gone by at ComCentre this time and it finally spoke up.

School work needs no further explanation especially so when I am quite an expert in procrastination. In the light of work not done or left extremely overdue, discouragements set in and so do early bouts of anxiety (wouldn’t equate that to depression).

It definitely won’t help when team mates attempt to put me through the wringer as though I was incapable in performing my job.

I need a bit of encouragement.

Thanks! I think it was a bad call to purchase at this time; money was already running low and I stab myself in front to get it in critical zone. Ha.

You can get one too. Saw lots of people without reservations but still queue up anyways. The reservation thingy is bull, I waited 4hrs even though I booked an appointment.

@Kevin: Not very long la, probably weeks. There isn’t a thing called extra cash or time. We’re always short of ‘em.

You made it so easy with the slope analogy, but often enough, another up slope lies beyond the peak of the current one you’re scaling.

It shrouds your view so badly that you wished you didn’t make this ascend. But yah, I know what you mean.

I have the ability to think positive if I wanted; the opposite is somewhat easier though.

Still, thanks for the encouragement guys. =)
