The Chinese New Year spiced up a little when the monkeys gathered around at Dan’s crib last Saturday. When I reached, the game (gambling) had long started. I wasn’t an avid fan of Black Jacks, but was eventually lured into chipping in some of my cash when they up the stakes to Texas Hold ‘em.

Right, first thing I stepped into the house, I was greeted by two lovely sweetie pies, of which I had cleanly forgotten to snap pictures of them. Daniel has two pembroke weish corgis, think sausages and huskies: Chubby and Jingle. I know little about dogs and I would love to have one of them. Sadly though, my mum isn’t keen on the idea of having pets in the house. Perhaps I could consider when I get my own place then.

The amazing about Daniel and his dogs is that unlike my neighbours’ whose place is not different from selling salted fish, his place did not reek any smell of the canines, not at all.

For the lower risk takers, Sirong brought along his new Monopoly set. He acquired the new London edition recently, just shortly after Christmas. The game got popular again when we went back for our vacation attachments and needed something to spend our time. Sirong’s set includes debit cards and a card reader, totally eliminating the need for handling cash. Sleek eh? Even games hopped on the cashless bandwagon.

The downside was that the game progressed so fast that we were quickly worn out after a few rounds.

Joined the gang for Hold ‘em after dinner at the newly refurbished White Sands and paying taxes to the den. I took pictures of them playing.
