I met with a minor accident while parking on a multi-storey car park today. Itchy fingers and thoughts I have, I decided to save time and turn head first into the parking lot when I miscalculated the turning radius on the sides and the left door was scratched. Jin Tian was lost for words I guessed because I was trying to force a solution out of him. Poor guy, he must have seen the most unreasonable moment of me.
Anyways, we were supposed to help Wei Boon to buy his PSP slim for Wendy. This sweet fella wants to buy a gift for his newly wedded wife. Being buddies we are, Jin Tian and I accompanied him to the shop. I was surprised he was more worried of my scratched car more than his purchase, and deeply grateful for his help in polishing away the scratches with his expensive amazing scratch off liquid. He spent a good 20 minutes doing that without any complaints of heat and low visibility. I am blown away by his selfless attitude when coming to deal with such trivial matters.
Thanks Wei Boon. And apologies to Jin Tian for withstanding my few moments of nagging “How! How! Scratched car!” directly at him. Not everyone can take my nonsense during times like this. I must have placed him in a difficult and embarrassing spot.
I’m utterly relieved that I need not go though this all alone.
Not to worry though, this accident didn’t hinder my confidence in driving. I wouldn’t be traumatized by it. Rather, I have to keep this incident from the father because of his unusual propensity towards paranoia. Will let him know when I feel the right time to.
One accident is far too many. After scratching the sports rim on the previous Nissan Sunny, causing the alignment to go off a few centimetres, I have to make a mental note never to let this incident happen again. Today’s scratch is just a wake up call, but still, I thank God for that.

Never try to park your car this way again. Need alot of skills and good adjustment. i never dare to try parking this way. Parking this way also means harder for you to drive out when you are leaving. : )
